WIDEBAND DEMODULATOR
This board is designed to satisfy the following requirements:
- It is in charge to receive a modulated RF signal with central frequency in the field 400 – 4500 MHz. This RF signal is converted to baseband with a unique step. The demodulation is coherent, i.e. the in-phase (I) and the in-quadrature (Q) components are produced.
- The analog baseband I/Q components are filtered with two matched Chebysew filters having a corner frequency of 50 MHz. These analog signals are converted in digital form with two ADC having a 16 bits resolution and a programmable sampling frequency.
- The demodulation frequency is produced with a local oscillator (LO) that can be tuned in a very rapid way. The LO is programmable through 6 digital words sent to the board via a 38 pins mictor connector.
All the I/O signals are sent or collected to/from the board through controlled impedance of 50 Ω.
The RF input connector is a female SMA, the analog output connectors are SMB.
Input signals
- RF signal: 400 – 4500 MHz on a female SMA connector.
- Input level: 0 dBm to – 60 dBm (1 dB compression point: -2 dBm).
