SURFACE DEFORMATIONS MONITORING OF COMPACT STRUCTURES (1997)
Unsurveilled on-line system of measurement of compact surface deformation structures (rocks, building), employed also for the early detection of landslides. The system is composed of a set of linear extensimeters (up to 16), a data collection unit based on a Texas Instruments TMS320C742A microcontroller and a remote control unit (industrial PC) connected via modem to the data collecting subsystem.
