Due to its continuous commitment in research and technological innovation activities, the firm has developed novel products in the field of industrial automation and electro-optics:
DUNE Electric Phase Measuring System®:
This product, still in a prototype stage, is for the measurement of the electrical phase on RF signals up to 200 MHz, with a significantly greater accuracy with respect to current
systems (see ref.). The electro-optics field is foreseen as the main application area for the product, specifically for laser telemetry employed in "reverse engineering"
technique.
HIPERLAN
2 simulator: Software package for the evaluation of the physical layer performance of HIPERLAN 2 (H2) European standard (ETSI) in digital telecommunication for Wireless LAN. The package includes both standard-compliant transmitter and receiver (base-band), both based on flexible design to allow performances evaluation also in case of modifications either of H2 standard or of the receiving processing algorithms. Some
results
obtained by employing this tool can be found in (ref.1
and ref 2).
Simulatore UMTS: Software package for the evaluation of the physical layer performance of the third generation UMTS European standard (in its versions TDD, FDD and FDD-HSDPA) for cellular networks. The package includes both standard-compliant transmitter and receiver (base-band, see the block diagram), both based on flexible design to allow performances evaluation also in case of modifications either of UMTS standard or of the receiving processing algorithms. Somre results obtained by employing this tool can be found in (ref.a and ref b).
