August 16-20, DUNE as been invited to contribute and attend the 3rd Generation Partnership Program (3GPP) metting 3GPP-RAN1#38, Prague (CZ). DUNE contribution (joint work with FUJITSU Labs UK) aims at impacting on the standardisation process of the UMTS-FDD for the application of multiple antennas for high bit rate services (see contribution here).
June 10-11, World Wireless Research Forum (WWRF-11), held in Oslo. DUNE attended the event and contributed with a paper (pdf) on a spectral equalisation technique devised by DUNE within the IST-ROMANTIK project.
June 10, attended the workshop on Self-organising Networks and Swarm Optimisation held at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", organised by the INFOCOM Dept.
June 3, International Workshop on Wireless ad-hoc Networks (IWWAN), held in Oulu (Finland). DUNE contributed with an invited paper (zip) and oral presentation (ppt) on a spectral equalisation technique devised by DUNE within the IST-ROMANTIK project.
May 25, received the approval for the 1st evaluation step for the project proposal UNIDES (summary) to the European Commission within the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET). The project aims at devising novel approaches for the automated design and optimisation of embedded systems.
May 4, submitted the project proposal UNIAIR (summary) to the European Commission within the Future and Emerging Technologies (FET). The project aims at designing novel and visionary air interfaces for wireless communication.
March 25, submitted an integrated project (zip) for the application of acoustic tomography methods for the water plumes convection estimation to the Antarctic National Research Programme (PNRA).
