RESCUE (ineRtial sEnsorS Combination with GNSS aUgmentation for pEdestrian tracking)
RESCUE is an operators’ localization and tracking system (e.g., firefighters, soldiers, first responders) employing a MEMs based IMU device. The system is specifically designed for emergency scenarios where GNSS signal (GPS/GALILEO) is unavailable or unreliable and is not based on a pre-existing external infrastructure or their set up during operations (impracticable for typical “first responders” scenarios). RESCUE is focused on the needs of Public/Private Organizations for which operators’ tracking is a key factor for operations safety and success.
